How do I create an Issue Release/Receipt Document (DD Form 1348-1A)?

1. On the IRRD Information page, select Add. The fields clear. A yellow-colored field denotes a required field. The cursor is in the DOC IDENT field.

2. Enter the IRRD information for the following required fields:
   • Enter a Routing Identification Code in the RIC FROM field.
   • Enter a Unit of Issue Go in the UNIT ISS field
   • Enter a quantity in the QUANTITY field.
   • Enter a Condition Code in the COND field.
   • In the DOCUMENT NUMBER & SUFFIX field, enter a document number and suffix (if applicable). It must be at least 14 characters long.
   • In the NATIONAL STOCK NO & ADD field, enter the national stock number (NSN). It must be at least 13 characters long.
3. Enter any other pertinent information to your IRRD.
4. Select Save. A message box will appear that states "This IRRD Record Saved." Select OK.

How do I print an Issue Release/Receipt Document (DD Form 1348-1A)?

1. Enter your IRRD information. Click on IRRD at the bottom of the screen.
2. You may select shipments by Record, Date Shipped, Mark For, Project Code, Ship To, Container or Pallet. On the popup list, highlight the desired shipments. To select all shipments, choose Select All Records.
3. Select OK.
4. You will see the following screen:
   
5. Select the number of copies to be printed.
6. Select the number of IRRDs to be printed on each page (up to 2).
7. Select the format to print the IRRDs. You may choose from DoD (Department of Defense) or FMS (Foreign Military Sales).
8. Select Preview Report or Print Report. If you have selected Preview Report, you can view the report on the screen before printing a copy. If you have selected Print Report, the report will be sent directly to the printer.
9. Select OK.

How do I add lineitems to my MSL?

You can allow lineitems created in the IRRD section to be packed inside boxes, or MSLs. Please visit the MSL section for step by step instructions.

Can I print an Issue Release/Receipt Document (DD Form 1348-1A) on a label printer?

No. The IRRD is printed using a laser printer. The standard size for the IRRD does not fit on the labels used in a label printer. If you wish to print IRRDs on an adhesive label, you can use labels designed for use in a laser printer.
